The Business Excellence (BE) initiative provides your organisation with a roadmap for excellence and an understanding of how to improve your organization’s performance. This is done through a thorough assessment of your organisational performance based on the internationally benchmarked BE framework to obtain external perspectives of your company’s strengths and areas for improvement.

The BE framework covers all the critical factors for excellence and these are addressed in the seven categories: Leadership, Customers, Strategy, People, Processes, Knowledge and Results. Besides the holistic BE standard, there are three niche BE standards for people, innovation and service. Each niche standard focuses on a key enabler of business excellence, i.e. people, innovation and service. Depending on their needs and strategies, your organisations may choose any of the four BE standards to enhance your capabilities.

The Singapore Quality Class is the certification for the holistic BE standard and it recognises organisations for meeting standards of good performance.

  The People Developer Standard is the certification for the niche BE standard for people. The niche standard provides organisations with a total approach to attracting, managing and engaging employees for high performance.

  The Singapore Innovation Class is the certification for the niche BE standard for innovation. The niche standard enables organisations to develop their innovation management capabilities.

  The Singapore Service Class is the certification for the niche BE standard for service. The niche standard enables organisations to develop a customer-centric approach for high performance. It highlights organisations’ capabilities in service leadership and service agility to enhance customer delight and experience.
